The Dangers of the Cultural Diversity Doctrine

By Pastor Michael Brigmond

The doctrine of Cultural Diversity is spreading its venom against the Christian doctrine of the exclusiveness and oneness of the Church. It is the antichrist doctrine that God accepts all religions and cultures in their paganism, uncivilized practices, and sins.

Cultural Diversity declares that no one should be entitled to classify any person or people by behavioral traits. To do so is intolerance, discrimination, bigotry, and a violation of human rights. This deadly doctrine says that everyone should be free to practice their own vices [sins], choices [abortion, adultery and fornication], sexual bias [homosexuality, lesbianism], tribalism, or any other non-Christian religion, without being classed as evil doers and needing conversion.

It teaches the idea that no religion has the right to set forth a system of morals or an exclusive plan of salvation, and thereby be entitled, exclusively, to be called the children of God.

Cultural Diversity teaches that God accepts all people, all religions, all cultures, and all share in the universality of God, without need of conversion or a change from one culture (lifestyle) to another, or one religious group to another.

Cultural Diversity sets forth the rejection of salvation
through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.

Cultural Diversity sets forth the rejection of the Christian teaching that salvation is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. It says there is no need to forsake sins or ungodly cultural practices no matter how pagan their religious heritage may be. It also rejects the need for an exclusive moral system (holiness) as found in the Christian Bible.

Cultural Diversity has been in the works for many years, albeit moving as slow as the stars across the night sky. Some of the methods utilized in modern times to propagate Cultural Diversity are worth closer examination. One of the main methods used to prepare the way for this damnable doctrine has been the relentless revisions and re-translations of the Christian Bible.

The world has been flooded with "new" Bibles, with Scripture re-written, to form the basis of new interpretation. This is an effort to sweep away the people of God from the firm foundation of Truth to a new "gnosis" [knowledge], wherein Christ has no place as Saviour of the world.

The world has been flooded with "new Bibles,"
with Scripture re-written
to form the basis of new interpretation

We now have available in bookstores across the land such "new and improved versions" as the New International Version, New American Standard, Revised American Standard, the Jerusalem Bible, the New English Bible, the Amplified Bible, Good News for Modern Man, and countless others. To add to this list of pollution we have the so-called Living Bible, which is neither a revision nor a re-translation, but a disgusting and perverted paraphrase. Add to that a never ending list of "Study Bibles", some with more notes than scripture, written by men who are trying to "out-Scofield Scofield". Somehow they think they have some special talent to help us understand the Scriptures. That used to be the responsibility of the Holy Ghost.

It is sad to find so many people who think they can do a better job than God. People who need a "Study Bible", with trinity based, man-made commentary to help them understand the Word of God, obviously don’t have much standing in the pulpit of their local church!

Get people to become unstable in which
"Bible" to use
and they begin to question the actual authority
of the Word of God altogether.

The result of all these publications has brought more chaos than clarity. Goal accomplished! Get people to become unstable in which "Bible" to use and they begin to question the actual authority of the Word of God altogether. Then throw into the mix a few "Christian theologians" who have "discovered secrets" in old Jewish literature, i.e. the Talmud and the Kaballah, and now people begin to think there is more than one way to God. If there could possibly be two ways to be saved, then perhaps there could be 3 or 4 or 40 or 4000 ways.

The intent has been to get people to think that non-Christians also have special places in the heart of God and that, surely, He will save them all. Even though the Word of God clearly declares there is only ONE WAY to be saved, still some think God will soon turn back to Israel and re-establish their Covenant. They fail to see that if God were to turn again to Israel, he would have to turn loose of the Church. Even God cannot have two wives.

. . . if God were to turn again to Israel, he would have to turn loose of the Church.
Even God cannot have two wives.

Cultural Diversity wants us to think there are many paths people may follow to be "saved". Yet, Jesus said, in John 14:6 (King James Version) ". . . I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Many Protestant denominations and other religious groups are back-peddling and rewriting the doctrines of Christ and the Apostles. Through the ecumenical movement many of these church groups are blending together in support of the new world order under the guise of Cultural Diversity, where everyone, regardless of their beliefs or religious practices, are purported to be saved with or without the blood of Jesus Christ as shed at Calvary.

THE NEW AGE MOVEMENT . . .
A REVIVAL OF BABYLONIAN GNOSTICISM.

The original hatred of Jesus Christ and the Church from Gnosticism has found new life in the New Age Movement.

The following observations (shown in italics) were made by Pastor Kenneth Kirkland:

"In recent years – seemingly out of nowhere – Gnosticism has rebounded with "a vengeance." What we are witnessing today is a massive resurgence of first and second century Gnosticism. Therefore, to best understand the New Age Movement, we begin with a brief look at Gnosticism and its heretical view of Christ.

"This esoteric [secret reinterpretation] movement, was highly syncretistic incorporating Babylonian, Jewish, Persian, and other oriental traditions, blending these with Plato Greek philosophy.

"Gnosticism is a very complex and often convoluting mystical system. Its real purpose is the complete reinterpretation of the entire Bible."

Among notorious Gnostics we find: "Philo Judaeus, a contemporary of Christ and the Apostles. He completely reinterpreted the Old Testament, incorporating Babylonian and Greek philosophy with Jewish mysticism [Jewish Gnosticism]."

According to the Ante Nicene Fathers, another notable Gnostic was: "Simeon Magnus, the sorcerer in Acts 8 at Philip’s revival. It is the beginning of the pluralism [polytheism] doctrine that led to the full adoption of the trinity from Plato’s philosophy."

And then we come to: "Cerinthus, who lived in Ephesus toward the end of the first century." According to Irenaeus (AD 130-200): "Cerinthus represented Jesus as having not been born of a virgin, but as being the son of Joseph and Mary according to the ordinary course of human generation, while he nevertheless was more righteous, prudent, and wise, than other men. Moreover, after his baptism, Christ descended upon him in the form of a dove from the supreme ruler, and that he proclaimed the unknown Father, and performed miracles." Pastor Kirkland goes on to say, "It is noteworthy that Cerinthus and other Gnostics often interpreted the teaching of Jesus in such a way as to make it appear that Jesus himself was a Gnostic. Irenaeus likened such warped interpretations to someone who takes apart a beautiful picture of a king and reassembles it into a picture of a fox."

If it was important enough for the early Christians to fight against Gnosticism, should we not also draw our battle lines and attack this heresy in its revived form?

Cultural Diversity is presented in a way that sounds like an attempt at breaking down the walls of discrimination. But when viewed under the light of Scripture we find instead a doctrine of devils, intent on breaking down the walls of truth.

Cultural Diversity . . .
a doctrine of devils,
intent on breaking down the walls of truth.

We are instructed by the Word of God to love all men and to strive to reach any and all who hear and obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. But we are never taught from the Bible to accept, acknowledge, or advance any other gospel, especially if it denies the exclusiveness of salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. [][][][]
