Ever watch a knife-throwing exhibition? The assistant, blindfolded, stands with arms and legs outstretched. The Knife thrower takes aim and one by one lodges the knives into the board behind his partner. Coming ever so close to the left side, then the right; under one arm, then the other. Then a knife lands on either side of the head. The blade is touching one cheek, and almost touching the other. So close, yet never making contact. Precision like that doesn’t come by accident. It takes much practice. You have to first get use to the knife. Learn what it can do. Learn how to hold it, handle it, throw it. Practicing first with a mannequin. Then with a live dummy.

Many preachers are nothing more than knife throwers. They are skillful with the Sword, the Word of God. They know it’s capability, how to handle it and how to throw it, without actually hitting the mark. When you hit the mark with preaching, people are forced to make a decision. The Charismatic Showboats today are skilled in coming close to the truth. Yet, they know if they hit the mark with their preaching, their finances may dry up.

When it comes to preaching, if people weren’t wimps, the Charismatics and other false prophets wouldn’t have any body to preach to.

Many today don’t want to be washed, they want to be dry cleaned. Put a little embalming fluid on them, they’ll be all right. [][][][]
