If
You Knew My Savior, You Would Understand My Behavior
By Pastor Michael Brigmond
Some say I’m
a stick in the mud
They think I never have much fun.
They can’t
seem to understand
Why I wear long sleeves even in the sun.
I tell them,
"If you knew my Savior,
You would understand my behavior."
It's knowing
Him as I do
That makes my faith not waiver.
They shake
their heads in unbelief
When they learn I live without TV
But I don’t
need Talmud-Vision
To keep me up to speed.
I have a
Bible that’s alive
It’s always current and full of truth
I don’t
need Hollywood perverts
Who only want to destroy our youth.
They see my
wife with hair uncut
And a face that’s clean and bright
They see her
dressed in modesty
Every day and every night.
And so they
wonder what makes me tick
And why I cease not my labor
I smile and
say, If you knew my Savior,
You would understand my behavior.
