How Many Colors Can Satan Paint A Dead Horse? (Taken from a message preached Mar 22, 1998)
The title of the message: "How many colors can Satan paint a dead horse?" The answer will make you feel uneasy. Fashion consultants get paid to tell people, what their "color" is. They will tell one their color is Blue, and another will learn their color is Red, and so on. It depends on the complexion, the eyes and hair, their height, weight, etc, etc. They say everyone has a "color" that looks best on them. The various colors are often associated with emotions. Black, or the absence of color, invokes a feeling of death or fear. Blue creates a mood of peace or serenity. Green reminds us of greed and envy. Yellow is seen as cowardice or jealousy. Red sparks the emotion of anger and rage; or love, passion, and lust. Love can be defined as Passion under control, and Lust as Passion out of control. White, the combination of all colors, attracts a feeling of purity, honesty and faithfulness. What is your color? Are you attracted by fear, greed, jealousy, passion, or some other emotion? Let us understand that sin properly repented of has been put on the altar and killed, as any sacrifice should be. It is a Dead Horse; and is meant to be left dead. We must also understand that Satan does not care what your color is. He will paint that dead horse any color you like to get you interested in it again. The title of the message: "How many colors can Satan paint a dead horse?" The answer is, "Whatever color you want." He has your color, don’t let him get your number. [][][][] |
