Don’t
You Agree
By Jim Perry (1926-2000)
Don’t you agree this
world is in trouble?
Or do you go around thinking you are seeing double?
A double
minded man is unstable in all his ways.
He does not consider the seriousness of these days.
He thinks if he waits long enough, things will be better.
But he refuses to search and believe God’s letter.
Things won’t
get better as long as people lie.
Still every man is appointed once to die
Who is right and who is wrong,
Is a decision that to God does belong.
Man can be
hot to do God’s will
Or he can be as cold toward God as a mid winter chill
If man thinks he can compromise
He will never be able to obtain the prize.
There is
one Lord, one Faith and one Baptism
But there is no hope in Humanism.
The Kingdom of God is now at hand
What God has revealed, we need to understand
The
decision is left to every man to learn
He can obey God or forever he will burn
