Bullet Holes Found in Church: Bullet holes were found in the Apostolic Lighthouse Church (now: First Apostolic Church). What the local police suspect was a .38 caliber slug was removed from the sanctuary inside wall. The bullet entered from the outside in front of the church aimed directly at the pulpit. The slug passed through two sheets of wood siding and ricocheted to the right. It then went through two sheets of 1/4 inch plywood, through two sheets of 3/8 inch drywall into a Sunday school room and out the other side, through two more sheets of drywall, and lodged in the wall of the sanctuary. This all happened when the building was empty, so no one was injured. The Lord surely had his hand on us. Tuesday and Saturday nights are regularly scheduled prayer meetings. On that Saturday night, Sept. 30, 1995, with the pastor in South Carolina, the brother with the key to unlock the church inadvertently left the key at home so the saints decided to meet in the home of one of our members who lives nearby to pray. We don’t know precisely when the incident occurred, but we know the Lord was with us. Hopefully this was just a random act of vandalism and not one to be repeated. The police are investigating, (this is a felony offense because a firearm was used) and they became more concerned when learning the pastor’s tires had been sliced a few weeks earlier. We do desire your prayers. We are not afraid and as we move into the last days we can expect more of this behavior. Matthew 10:28= And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Paul makes it clear in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4: "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
