To answer the question: Yes, we are SURE! There is absolutely no doubt that Jesus Christ will return at the end of the "Tribulation". What is also true is that the Church will still be here when He returns! Please don’t let this upset you. The solution is really as simple as Acts 2:38 salvation.

Here in the great state of Florida we have HURRICANES. When the warnings first begin to be announced, there is plenty of time to prepare and/or evacuate. The preparation, when properly done, doesn’t take very long. By living here we stay on the alert, at least from June 1^st to Nov 30^th, which is the Hurricane Season.

The only people who ever die or are seriously injured in a hurricane are either unprepared or unaware of the danger. Many have heard the warning, but have chosen to ignore it. Those who have heeded the warning will be busy preparing for the approaching storm. If possible, we are ready to "ride it out". But if the hurricane is upgraded to a category 4 or 5, we know it may be stronger than we can endure, so we evacuate.

As it is with hurricanes, there are things we can do to prepare for the coming of the Lord and for the Tribulation that will precede it. The best part: when things get so bad that "there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." [Matt 24:22] The winds of Tribulation are beginning to blow!
