Are You Guilty Of Anti-Semitic Behavior? By Pastor Michael Brigmond Before you flatly deny it, let’s look at what many people believe and how those beliefs are practiced. Heard in churches across America are statements like:
These are common statements we have heard at some given time. Some people even have a "special ministry" to the Jewish people. Not to proselyte them, per se, but to be a blessing to them by helping them prepare for the day they build a new temple and begin again their animal sacrifices. This "special ministry" offers Christianity to the Jews, but does not insist on it. In fact, in many cases salvation in the name of Jesus Christ is taught as one of two "options" for the Jews. In the Christian mindset, all other (non-Jewish) races have only one option: Jesus, but the Jewish people, they teach, have two! Now, unless there are two Gods, ultimately, the only hope the Jews have is Jesus! Sometimes titles can be confusing, but not so with names. Since Jesus is God, and we know that He is, then we can clearly see that if Jesus comes back for His church before the tribulation, then it must be Jesus (God) who will also turn back to the Jews during the Tribulation. So while Jesus and His new bride are on their honeymoon, Jesus will also be courting his ex-wife, Israel, making preparation for her to come back and join Him and His new bride, the church, in His Kingdom. Doesn’t that make it as clear as mud? The Trinitarians don’t have any problem with it, because they just divide God into three different people (or persons, as they say). So one "person" comes for the church and another "person" comes for the Jews. For those of you who do not believe in the Trinity, where are you going to get that "other person" to come for the Jews? Go ahead, try to make it make sense. Try to make it fit. This "special ministry" says the Jewish people can either believe in Jesus (Person #2) and receive his plan of salvation, or they can wait until the church is "Raptured" out and then God (Person #1), will restore the nation of Israel as it was in the days of old. This is where the confusion returns. If Jesus is "Person #2", then He cannot be "Person #1". In all my years in the Church, I have never heard anyone say, "The Father will turn back to Israel during the Tribulation." They always say, "God will. . ." not "The Father will. . ." Jesus is God. For crying out loud, if "Person #1" is not Jesus, then tell me, please, who is He? Brothers and Sisters, if you are involved in this type of "ministry", and one day when the Jewish people find out that only one plan of salvation exists for all people, how will they classify your actions? Encouraging their belief in a separate road to salvation, when there is really only one plan, one everlasting Gospel, what will they think? Will they perceive it as anti-Semitic behavior? Are you setting them up for a big disappointment? If you love the Jewish people, then tell them about Jesus and pray they will believe in Him, repent of their sins, submit to baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receive the Holy Ghost as we have, speaking in other tongues. If you love them, don’t lie to them. Don’t give them a false hope. Tell them the truth of the Apostolic message, which is the only hope for all of us, Jew or Gentile. Finally, understand that at the end of the Tribulation, Jesus is coming back for his bride, which consists of all races, kindred, tongues and people. He has not excluded anyone, but has offered His salvation to whosoever will. [][][][]
