A Few Points In Identifying The True Israel Of God:

Pastor Michael Brigmond

  1. Abraham was not a Jew.
  2. Isaac was not a Jew.
  3. Jacob (Israel) was not a Jew.
  4. The Original Covenant was not made with the Jews or Israel as a people or a nation, but with Adam and Eve, before there ever was a nation called Israel, or a people called Jews.
  5. The Covenant and the Promise are one and the same.
  6. God told Abraham that he would make him the father of many nations (not just one) and His covenant would be established between me (God) and thee (Abraham) and thy seed.

According to Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary, the word "nation" comes from
the Hebrew word (#1471) gowy, go'ee; rarely (short.) goy, go'-ee;
a foreign nation; hence a Gentile;
also (fig.) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts:
Gentile, heathen, nation, people.

  1. If the seed is singular, then the seed is Jesus Christ, if it is plural, then the seed is all of the nations that came from Abraham. (Not just the nation of Israel

  2. The Promise was for a Messiah to come through the lineage of Abraham.

  3. The "Plan" for the Promise goes back to Genesis 3:15, a promise given to Adam and Eve, who also were not Jewish.

  4. The promise continued from Eden, through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, the Law, David, and was fulfilled in Jesus.

  5. On the day of Pentecost, Peter preached the "Promise" is unto you and your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Not just the Jews).

  6. The natural branches (Jews) were cut out of the vine (Jesus) because of unbelief (In what? in Jesus).

  7. The wild branches (Gentiles) were grafted into the true vine, (Jesus Christ).

  8. It is still possible for the natural branches (Jews) to be grafted into the vine (Jesus) again, if they cease from unbelief (in what? unbelief in Jesus Christ).

  9. How can the Jews be grafted in again? By fulfilling Acts 2:38, the same as anyone else
